Artistic Photography.

When I grow up I want to be Mutua Matheka! No, honestly. He’s the fine artist/ illustrator/ (designer-i-suspect)/ architect turned interior designer and awesomest photographer. I know there can only be one M.M….

….Ok, maybe Not in this case, but in him I see Eugene of the future.

I know I will take up photography at some point. But until then when I buy me a camera, Ill just better the other arts.

I could have posted here his complete blog – (everything is just so damn good), but now that we cant have 50+ images..

Savour these! You can also follow him on twitter, facebook, view the rest of his works at behance and flickr

N A I R O B I .. Wouldn't you just Loove to live in this City? Wait.. you probably do!

N A I R O B I, Another spectacular view.

.: GADO :. The Unsung Hero

Posted by eujomnoma in Sep 15, 2010, under Nairobi Kuna Talent (NKT), Uncategorized

Every Kenyan knows GADO, i would presume. Most of us grew up seeing his cartoons on the Daily Nation. And I’m sure he is the reason why many young cartoonists have emerged. The guy is technically the godfather of Cartooning in Kenya and the Africa Beyond.

Godfrey Mwampembwa (yap, that’s his real name) is the mind behind the popular XYZ Show on Citizen tv.
n 1999 he was Kenya’s Cartoonist of the Year and he is the most internationally syndicated editorial cartoonist in East and Central Africa.

Today we honour this great cartoonist.

Have a look at these:

i joke i joke i joke! HAHA!

Posted by eujomnoma in Sep 10, 2010, under Nairobi Kuna Talent (NKT), Uncategorized

That really reminds me of a High school teacher with dry jokes. The guy had totally no sense of humour. So he used to throw in his dotts during class lessons, and enthusiastically look at our faces. Seeing blank uninterested faces, and that no- one is laughing he now explains in his heavy luo accent : “I JOKE I JOKE I JOKE.. ITS A JOKE!  HAHAHAHA.. HAha.. her? ..erm. AHEM!. So er.. where were we?”

Yes, so where was I?

I collected these interesting exam question – answers that were funny. Really, they are. Atleast I think so.. Well, if YOU find them DRY you might as well WET them hahaha erm..

er ..ok.  right-on. Enjoy :)

.: Leon Muli :. the Photography Genius

Posted by eujomnoma in Aug 31, 2010, under Nairobi Kuna Talent (NKT), Photography

Professional Photography is a fast- maturing industry in Kenya and again, NKT! They say in Swahili “Kizuri chajiuza” (Good things sell themselves *direct translation* : ), and that’s how I came to know of Leon Muli. When Talent meets Hard- work, miracles take place. I honestly think this is the case with Leon. His work is waaaaaay overboard, despite his age (he’s in his 20′s). He’s one of my favourite photographers I must say, a person I look up to.

So I collected some of his photos from his site and blog, which I thought were outstanding. If you like what you see, you can join his group on facebook. Enjoy : )

Self Portrait

This was my personal favourite out of this bunch. Its so artistic.

I think this last piece was ingenious. If you liked this post feel free to share. Thanks for visiting.

.: Dan Magothe :. the Master of Pencil art

Posted by eujomnoma in Aug 19, 2010, under Nairobi Kuna Talent (NKT), Photography, Uncategorized

Dan Magothe is a Contemporary Artist in Nairobi, Kenya. I met him on facebook, well first through his art. The following is part of a collection he’s exhibiting, dubbed “Peaces of my heART”. He’s primarily a dry- media artist, uses pencil for most of his work.

I think its incredible the way he captures detail and emotion. Have a look at his work. You can follow Dan Magothe on facebook.
